The Angmering Chorale has been singing for over 30 years. From a small inaugural group in 1976, The Chorale has grown to over 130 singers.
Under Musical Director George Jones, the repertoire of The Chorale ranges from Bach to The Beatles. Future concerts are detailed on our Programme page, a list of the major works we have performed is shown here.
2007 was an eventful year for us. Firstly we were invited to perform The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, in Carnegie Hall, New York, in January 2007. Then, by invitation, we took part in the re-opening weekend of the Royal Festival Hall, London, in June. We were then invited to perform again in the Royal Festival Hall, this time in the presence of HM The Queen. We are returning to Festival Hall in October 2008 and are immensely proud to have been invited back to New York in January 2009 (see the News link above).
We are proud to have as our Patron the celebrated composer Karl Jenkins OBE.
Our accompanist is Alison Manton, a very experienced musician.
